The degree of effectiveness of a hypnotherapy session is dependent upon your openness to the process, the degree to which you have the desire for change, and your ability to concentrate. The number of sessions you will need for complete change varies dependent upon the issue and the effort you put in daily to maintain the new behavior.

Each session begins with an interview where you and the hypnotherapist work together to discuss the desired behavior you are wanting to change. This is followed by a process by which the hypnotherapist works with your subconscious to shift the belief causing the behavior. Part of the process will include techniques for self-hypnosis so that you can support yourself during the changes you desire to make. A typical session can last 60-90 minutes.
